Things to note

Are you looking looking for additional information, such as, costs and fees for the complete program, duration, program structure, detailed entry requirements etc? It is easy to find - just click on the individual program names and you will be taken to the program listing and that contains all the additional information.

You should also keep in mind that the New Zealand Qualification Framework (NZQF) considers Bachelor Honours degrees as Level 8 courses but these are not listed in the table above. If you are not sure about the difference between these courses, go here to learn more about them.

And finally, if you are an international student who needs a student visa then pay special attention to the program specifications (full time vs. part time, duration of the program etc.) as these factors may affect your visa or the type of visa that you need to study in New Zealand.

Now that we have covered the basics, let's move on to admission requirements for level 8 courses.

Admission requirements for level 8 courses

The admission requirements for level 8 courses vary considerably from institution to institution. You will need a recognised Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of it in order to get admission to most of programs listed above. However, if you can demonstrate that you have a significant amount of appropriate, professional work experience then some colleges may accept that in place of a Bachelor’s degree.

What if you have a recognised Bachelor’s degree? Do you still need work experience? Well, that depends on the course and the institution that you are interested in. You can get admission to some level 8 courses without any work experience but not to all of them.

And here’s some good news: You can apply for these courses without GMAT or GRE scores.

However, if you are an international student may need to provide English language test scores (IELTS or TOEFL etc.). You will typically require an overall score of 6.5 in the Academic version of the IELTS along with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the individual bands (that is, you will need to score at least 6.0 in the Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking sections).

Alternatively, if you want to apply without IELTS scores then you can take the PTE or TOEFL as most colleges will accept these scores as well.

Keep in mind that these entry requirements are just a general guideline. Every university and institute may have its own variations and additional requirements and you should consult those before you make any decisions. You can easily find the requirements for the individual universities and institutions by clicking on the program names above and viewing the program listings.
